Ticket Sales for 2018 World Cup
The 2018 World Cup stadium in St. Petersburg is completed and the local football club, Zenit, have been playing there for a few months!

Tickets to the World Cup are now being sold in a series of stages so now is the time to book them.  They go on sale in a series of stages.  The FIFA site does a very good job explaining those phases and you can find more information about it here.  http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/ticketing/index.html

The first phase of the lottery selling was between 14 September – 12 October 2017.  Tickets that have not been sold in the lottery then go on for immediate selling on 16 November.

Phase 2 lottery sales are currently in progress and will come to an end on January 31, 2018.  After the tickets for the lottery drawing have been giving, there will be a first come first serve sale that starts on March 13, 2018 and ends on April 3, 2018.  It is very likely that many venues will already be sold out by then, so it is highly recommened to entry for the lottery drawing!

It’s important to note that all people going to the matches will also need a fan ID card provided by FIFA.  This ID also gets you visa free entry into Russia as well as free transportation in some public transport.   It is recommended to first get your tickets and then apply for the fan ID card.  More information can be found about it on this web page.

Come to St. Petersburg in June 2018 to see some FIFA World Cup football matches!!!!
